For Him
Buying for men isn’t difficult. It’s just made out to be. Hence the gift guides filled with novelty socks, branded bottle openers and everything else that gets tossed into a drawer for eternity before being quietly binned. Buying for him has never felt so low stakes to us, so we didn’t make it that way.
These are gifts we chose because they’re truly worth giving. Not ‘gift-worthy’ in some halfway acceptable present sense of the word. Things that are worth giving because he’s going to use it, think about it, realise that somebody was paying attention to what he likes. That was our bar. Lots of products didn’t make the cut. We picked up a lot of things we know you’ll see elsewhere and put them right back down.
Instead we hunted down gifts that actually fix, involve, or feel heavy enough to mean something. A gift thatsats in his kitchen and earns its place every week. We did our best to look for things that feel considered without crossing over to try-hard territory. Try-hard isn’t funny. It’s a gift-buying sin.
Some of these gifts are for someone who’s easy to buy for and just deserves a really great thing instead of something that’s merely fine. Some are for someone who has everything – an exaggeration, they can’t have everything but someone will react whenever you give them the right thing. Some are for that person you haven’t had loads of takeaway coffee with yet and the gift has to speak volumes about who you are.
The edit is small because we don’t want it to be huge. If we believe in something, it’s in here. We don’t want to toss products in just to make sure you can find something for every possible occasion. If you’re reading this wondering which ones to get them, that’s great. It means they’re all worthy of buying and you get to decide which ones are worthy enough for them.
We did the hard work already.
