Shaving Kits
Most men spend decades shaving with whatever razor came with their loyalty card and some gel that smells like a swimming pool. It works. Ok, it works. But working fine and being good are two different things. And the difference between shaving feeling like a chore you do every day and something that takes thirty seconds longer but feels vastly better is a good shaving kit that someone has actually spent some time thinking about.
That’s the gap we wanted to fill when we put this together.
We’ve only included stuff here that we’d fully gift to somebody. We don’t just pick our own gifts based on whether they look good in a photo, we ask ourselves whether we would actually give it as a gift. Would it improve something? A great shaving kit is a toolkit that doesn’t beat about the bush; it’s giving someone razors that actually cut properly, that feel great in the hand, that won’t be abandoned under the sink with the toiletries nobody touches two years from today.
So we looked for quality where it matters. Balances that aren’t flimsy. Blades you actually want to sharpen again. Brushes built to work, not just to look pretty. Smelling salts that smell like actual things. We even considered presentation, because if you’re reading this thinking you want to pick one of these as a gift then yeah, the packaging is important. Not because it needs to excuse what’s inside, but because it should speak to the quality of what’s inside.
These kits are for birthdays, father’s days and just because’s. They’re for brothers who would shave better if they knew better and friends who have meant to kit themselves up nicely but have never quite got around to it. They’re also great for someone just starting to build their first proper kit, instead of rifling through the remnants on the shelf as they stand in the bathroom.
