Supporting the Jets is a labour of love. It asks a lot of you. Always has. And yet folks who bleed green and white bleed enthusiastically, with a fanaticism that many fanbases would fail to comprehend, because being a Jets fan is not about the quick thrill. It’s about knowing this is your team. Period.
That was the kind of fan we had in mind when we started thinking about this guide. Not the fair weather friend who bought a jersey when they started winning. We mean the real deal. The Jets fan who has endured the lean years and been back for more come Opening Day of the following season. For these guys and gals, choosing a gift means opting for something that matches their level of care. A standard-issue piece of merch picked impulsively from a rack won’t cut it – and they’ll know it as soon as they open it.
So we searched far and wide for gifts we would actually want to receive ourselves if we were the one wearing green. Things that aren’t just brand slapped merchandise, but that have been carefully considered to suit the true fan who knows this team inside out and forwards and backwards.
