We have all met that Rockets fan. The one that you do not need to convince about how great the team is. The one that has pictures of Hakeem on their wall. Hell, the one that may still have posters of Hakeem on their wall. They will listen to you talk about what this team can and can’t do then launch into their own take on the matter whether you are finished talking or not. Buying that person a gift is easy. Buying a gift for that person that actually reflects how much they care about it. That is the challenge.
That is who we had in mind when we put this collection together. Not the fans who live for playoff runs and wear the colors when it is convenient. We mean the ones that check the injury report before their morning coffee and have an emotional connection to the Toyota Center itself. We made sure that everything in this collection passed that test. Would this land with someone that actually cares about Houston Basketball? If we didn’t think so, or if it felt like a rocket logo was slapped on to catch passing trade we didn’t include it.
