We were ruthless with brands here. Because personalised gifts can feel tacky instantly. Engraved badly and it’s a gift-shop decision made on impulse; usually destined for a drawer by the end of January. We only included makers who care about the craftmanship, use materials that get better with age (not slimey plastic that will melt / tarnish / fade after six months) and whose lettering is high quality enough to read back over in five years’ time without you holding a magnifying glass up to it.
You’ll notice this has left us with a much smaller collection than we usually stock. But every product here is one we would ourselves click ‘buy’ on without questioning. Not because they’re wow-factor flashy – they’re not – but because they’re just RIGHT. And yeah, sometimes that’s all you need.
