Aftershave
When buying aftershave as a gift nine times out of ten you are doing it blindly. You know he wears something. You smelled it on him once in an elevator or over dinner. Now you are standing in Boots being bombarded by brand reps with zero clue what you are supposed to like. We’ve been there, it sucks.
So we decided to flip it on its head. Rather than think of aftershave as just another fragrance category we approached it how you would any good gift; What does this say about him? Something that just smells nice is easy. You want something considered, something that says you paid attention to him.
That is why everything here feels just a little special. Some of it is expensive but not because we like picking pricey stuff. It’s here because the quality is excellent and the actual scent has something to offer. We’ve only picked bottles that feel good in your hand. Formula’s that work on skin, not just spray counters. Brands that have built a reputation because they’re actually good, not just at advertising themselves.
Speaking of bloody advertising... we actually considered who these are for. A lot of guys already know what they want to wear and will wear the same thing for two decades. Some guys have hit a point in their life where they’re ready for something better than they wore at uni but have never got round to it. Both of those guys exist, buy for them both? Nah. We sorted them into categories so you can tell them apart.
Finally what we haven’t done is try and include absolutely everything. There are thousands of aftershaves in the world. Majority of them would make a nice gift. But nothing more. We aren’t here for nice. We want you to buy something and have him actually remember you gave it to him. Reach for it every day. Notice when its empty.
