Every parent who has stood puzzled in an aisle full of toys that are licensed knows the dread of not being completely sure what your child wants. Fortnite’s player base is notorious for swallowing entire generations. Tweens. Teens. Adults that started when Fortnite was funny and never looked back. The issue becomes when you dig into finding official merchandise. It’s enormous. And half of it is straight up uninspired. Funky looking figures that can’t stand up for themselves. Clothes that are off color. Items that look amazing on the store shelf but suck to wake up to in the morning.
We felt your pain. When we went through everything Amazon and Etsy offered, we were looking for things a Fortnite fan would love, not just recognize. Those are two different things. Recognizable is easy. Throw a llama on it and you’ll sell something. We wanted gifts that tell someone you know them, that you paid attention and you understand what they love about Fortnite. That requires more effort than most and we’ve done all that effort for you.
You’ll find only stuff we’d gift ourselves here. Toys we actually like. Clothing that someone would want to wear and not simply accept as part of their weekly Fortnite time allowance. Gear that works for real life and doesn't feel like it was invented solely to display logo sloganaging. We even took age into account. A nine year old Fortnite player will have vastly different shopping preferences than one who is fifteen. And fifteen is a lot different than nine. Trust us.
Keeping this Fortnite gift guide small was a goal. Having a curated list of forty things nobody wants helps no one. We only included things we would grab for ourselves. We held every other option up to that same standard and eliminated anything that wasn’t at least as fun to give as it is to play Fortnite.
