Some people watch the Jets. Some people live the Jets. They know the lines, they debate goaltending decisions, they know team history in both cities and care about both expansions. Finding a gift for that Jets fan can be easy to mess up. Generic NHL gear is available almost everywhere online and most of it looks like it was made by committee for no one in particular. We didn’t want this to be that.
We built this collection by asking ourselves one question. Would we recommend this to someone who bleeds blue and white? Would they want to own it themselves? It stopped a lot of items from becoming suggestions. What remained were items we would grab for ourselves to gift the Jet fan we care about most. The one who memorises game scores, and would know we put zero thought into this if we didn’t.
Winnipeg is a hockey town. Like, legitimately. Our fans don’t come to watch hockey, they live it. They endured those miserable years in Phoenix, cried when the team returned in 2011, and have created a top 3 league atmosphere at Canada Life Centre. A gift that shows they know that will mean something more than something that simply features a logo. That difference is tangible, and they’ll know it as soon as they unwrap whatever you got them.
The items we’ve included also cover those special circumstances. Birthdays for the season ticket holder who has it all. Christmas gifts for the kid who just fell in love with hockey and the Jets. And even thoughtful ideas for that one person who isn’t from Winnipeg anymore but will stay up too late to watch almost every game just to feel connected to their home town.
We kept this list short intentionally. A curated list of items we actually love will mean more than a giant list of who knows what. If you see it here we believe it something a true hockey fan would appreciate.
