30th Anniversary
Thirty years is no small feat. It’s enough time to weather something real. To pick each other again and again on easy days and on days that very much did not look like celebrating. If you’re buying a gift for a thirty year anniversary, you understand that instinctively. You know that a present won’t do. It needs to be special, thoughtful, and impossible to mistake for another milestone gift with a number changed. The occasion itself demands it, so your gift should too.
As you might have guessed, pearl is the traditional thirty year anniversary gift. If you love the idea of something to coincide with tradition but didn’t want it to feel like an explanation was required then it’s a great place to start. But we didn’t want to restrict ourselves to traditional either. The perfect gift for this occasion isn’t the one that’s “correct”, it’s the one that’s right for you. So instead we looked for things with meaning. Presents that feel considered. Gifts that say “we know you” and “we know what this means.”
We also thought long and hard about who would be giving these gifts. They could be one half of a couple purchasing for the other. They could be children now old enough that they want to buy something “adult” for their parents. They could be friends that have watched you both throughout the entirety of your thirty years together and want to celebrate you in a way that honours how much you mean to them. Whatever the case may be, we feel like the job of the gift changes depending on who’s buying. That’s why we picked options that we feel suit all situations.
This isn’t a collection where we included things because they look good on a website or came in a box we liked. We had much tougher criteria than that. When we picked gifts for this collection we asked if they’d still be loved a year from now. Five years from now. Would they end up tucked away at the back of a cupboard or would people be showing them to guests who came over? Weddings can be once in a lifetime but thirty years together is just as special. You deserve a gift to match.
