Graduation
They’ve finished YEARS of something huge. Years of late nights, soul crushing self doubt, reading weeks that were spent not at all how you really rested. Years between who they were when they started and who they are right now standing up in a gown that probably doesn’t fit them very well. It deserves more than a card with a balloon on it and a twenty folded up inside.
There’s a reason graduation gifts rarely feel as momentous as graduating…most of them are too small. Or too impersonal. A photo frame. A pen. Booze. They could’ve bought themselves any of that stuff. We saw every graduation gift on the market and weren’t impressed by a single one, so we kept coming back to one question when putting this collection together; Does this feel like graduating?
Graduating college is serious. It’s not a party at eighteen anymore. Some of what we’ve picked is practical; heck most of it is. Because the reality of those grads is that they’re about to enter the most unstable period of their adult lives yet and having something that makes them feel prepared is not cheap. It’s investing in them. Other things in this collection are here to celebrate because honestly, graduation is still a good day. It should feel like one.
We thought about the graduates on the other end of these gifts too. The kid who had to work three jobs around their degree and somehow just kept at it through pure grit. The kid that switched majors halfway through but kept going anyways. The kid that moved across the world to do this. They need different things and different gifts. Something that’s perfect for one of them might not work for another so we tried to give you lots of options here so you can find something that’s right, not just reach for whatever’s closest.
We didn’t choose anything for this collection because it’ll look nice on Instagram. We only chose things we actually thought were as big of a deal as graduating is. Because graduating is real. Because graduating took a lot of hard work. And because graduating is worth celebrating properly.
