Minecraft
You have a Minecraft child. That should tell you just how much they love Minecraft. We all have one. Heck, it happened to us twice. They play it before school, they Minecraft long into the night when you tell them to go to bed, they argue about it over dinner and they think about it when they’re "studying". Minecraft is their lives. Or at least, it dominates their lives about as much as video games can while still allowing you to call them children instead of addicts.

The problem is, most Minecraft gift guides won’t help you. Most Minecraft gift guides just find every toy and plaque andt-shirt they can and call it a day. We did not do that. What you’re seeing below is us going through it all, and picking out only things we’d willingly wrap up for ourselves. Only things we know will actually hit the spot rather than disappoint or, even worse, sit in a drawer until February.

There’s clothing. Some good, physical pieces of Minecraft stuff. You know, stuff that actually feels substantial and doesn’t insult their intelligence by just placing the characters onto a hoodie. There’s games too because, well… More Minecraft content is naturally a great choice for a gift. Kids aren’t fools. They know when they’re getting something geared toward adults just because parents don’t know any better. And we considered age. Older kids will probably have played Minecraft longer, but there’s a vast difference between someone who thinks Steve is the fish boyfriend and someone who’s been playing since before either of your children were born.

Speaking of which, this was also curated with parents in mind. We didn’t need to know every change that’s happened in every iteration of the game to weed out a lot of stuff. We just needed to know what makes a good gift. Any parent can tell you that certain toys may look awesome, but they’re useless by day two. The ones we recommend are all special in their own way, and will be played with way past the holiday season. That made it simple to cut a lot of stuff.

Don’t mistake our smaller selection as being incomplete. We could fill this up with every bit of merch ever sold, but how fun would browsing that be? Instead, we want to make sure you’re only see things worth buying. So you can stop searching and start knowing you got your child the right gift.
