Avengers
We know a certain type of Marvel fan. They’ve watched the films chronological AND release order; they have opinions about the Infinity Saga they will happily share whether you want them to or not; they will know when you’ve given them a lazy gift. A plain logo plastered on a mug is not going to cut it for them. They’ve seen that mug. They probably own that mug. It was bought for them three Christmas’ ago by great auntie Petunia who goog “Avengers gift” into the first search box and CTRL+C, CTRL+V’d until she had enough “gift ideas”.
Gift ideas like us. We went looking for better.
Each and every one of these items was hand-picked for their recipients exactly the same way they appreciate the source material. We don’t want licensed tat that just so happens to have a character on it. We wanted gifts that feel considered; that will actually land with someone who doesn’t just know their Hulk from their Iron Man, but knows why that matters. Gifts that say, we listened; not to just their general taste but to this specific facet of it.
Because there is plenty of variety in who loves the Avengers. There are toddlers who’ve just learned what a freaking rocket-packed-genius-billionaire-playboy-war-hero is and think he’s the best thing ever. That’s an objectively reasonable place to be. There are also diehard fans who cut their teeth on the comics long before there were any films, and will get salty about that. There are others who started with Endgame and worked backwards because they’re equally as committed. We tried to pick things that work for all these people without talking down to one side of the spectrum or boring out the other.
What we will not do, is arbitrarily bulk up this list. You don’t need us to find you Avengers blankets. Blankets already exist, probably owned by your parents. Instead we filtered for the love. Some genuinely almost-good things didn’t make the cut because they felt more banda-tweeting on the MCU’s brand awareness than adding something worthwhile to it.
None of that stuff here. Just stuff we would buy ourselves.
