Star Wars
The thing about Star Wars fans is that they are never casual about it. They grew up with it, they introduced it to their kids, they have opinions about the prequels that they will share whether you asked or not. Buying for someone like that takes a bit of nerve, because they already own the obvious stuff and they can spot a lazy gift from across the room.
So we took this seriously. We went looking for things that would actually land with someone who knows their Mandalorian from their Clone Wars, who has a favourite lightsaber colour and a considered view on who shot first. Not merchandise for the sake of it. Not the kind of thing you find in a supermarket aisle on Christmas Eve. The kind of thing that shows you actually thought about who you were buying for.
Everything here has been picked by us personally, and the question we kept asking was a simple one. Would a real fan want this, or would they smile politely and put it in a drawer. A lot of things didn't make it through that filter. Novelty stuff that treats the whole galaxy as a punchline got left behind. So did anything that felt like it had been made to a budget rather than made with any care.
What's left is a small collection of things we'd actually hand over ourselves. There's a range here in terms of price and occasion, because Star Wars fans come in all ages and the birthday of a six year old and the retirement gift for someone who saw A New Hope at the cinema in 1977 are not the same problem. We've tried to cover both ends without the whole thing becoming a jumble sale.
If you're buying for someone who genuinely loves this world, not just tolerates it, this is where we'd point you. These are the gifts that feel like they came from someone who gets it, not someone who just typed Star Wars into a search bar and grabbed the first thing that appeared.
